Call for Tenure Track positions at The School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem

The School of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is accepting applications for tenure track academic positions for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in science. Priority will be given to candidates with specialization in the areas of Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nanotechnology, Pharmacology, Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacoeconomics.

The evaluation of the applicants for the academic position is based on innovation and excellence in drug-related research, commitment to mentoring and teaching, and mainly on the applicant's potential to lead original and breakthrough research.

We are looking for candidates who have profound knowledge, broad perspective, and proven achievements in research, which can build and lead an independent research group, and are committed to tutoring students at all levels within the study programs of the School of Pharmacy (B. Pharm, MSc. and Ph.D.).

The screening will be conducted in the School of Pharmacy Search Committee. The Committee will select a shortlist of applicants who will be invited for an interview at the Faculty.

Call for Tenure Track positions of artificial intelligence (AI) at The School of Pharmacy

The school is developing the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and its application in pharmacy. Candidates for the position must have a Ph.D. in the sciences. Priority will be given to those with research focused on artificial intelligence in medicine, with priority on pharmacy. Significant and productive experience in post-doctoral research on AI and its application in medicine and pharmacy is essential. The evaluation of applicants for the academic position will be based on innovation and excellence in drug-related research, commitment to mentoring and teaching, and primarily on the applicant's potential to lead original and groundbreaking research.

We are seeking candidates with profound knowledge, a broad perspective, and proven achievements in research, who are capable of building and leading an independent research group, and who are committed to mentoring students at all levels within the study programs of the School of Pharmacy (B. Pharm, MSc, and Ph.D.).

The School of Pharmacy at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Medicinal Chemistry for the academic year 2025-2026.

Position: Tenure-track Faculty Position in Medicinal Chemistry

Academic Year: 2025-2026

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a strong emphasis on Medicinal Chemistry. Areas of interest include Medicinal Synthetic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, and Polymer Chemistry. Priority will be given to candidates with a distinguished background in developing synthetic methodologies and in designing, synthesizing, and studying both natural and nature-inspired compounds. Exceptional achievements in other areas of Medicinal Chemistry are also strongly encouraged.

Research Responsibilities: Successful candidates will be expected to establish and lead competitive, independent research programs in areas such as developing new antibiotics, psychedelic drug developments, Alzheimer's disease research, cancer therapeutics, and target-ligand interactions on theoretical and preclinical levels, among other significant topics. These research initiatives should aim to uncover new insights and advance the field of Medicinal Chemistry through innovative and rigorous scientific inquiry.

Professional Qualities: Candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish and manage an independent research group, show a commitment to high-quality mentoring and academic leadership, and be dedicated to advancing the educational objectives of the School of Pharmacy.
