B.Sc Pharm – Profession Transition Route for Academics
Program Highlights
The Pharmacy Retraining Program grants a bachelor's degree in pharmacy (B.Sc. Pharm) and a pharmacy license for holders of academic degrees in science fields such as chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical and chemical engineering, marine sciences, medical professions, and biotechnology. The program prepares participants for the pharmacy profession and provides a foundation for further specialization in pharmaceutical sciences and higher studies in life sciences and medicine.
About the Program
This unique afternoon/evening program is designed for working students, allowing them to integrate their studies with their professional lives. It is intended for individuals with bachelor's degrees (B.Sc.) in chemistry, medicinal chemistry, life sciences, medicine, dentistry, biomedical sciences, marine sciences, nutritional sciences, food sciences, agricultural sciences, and pharma and biotechnology engineering.
The curriculum includes core pharmacy subjects and basic courses tailored for retraining. Classes are held at the Jerusalem School of Pharmacy on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 14:00-22:00 and Fridays from 08:00-14:00 over five consecutive semesters (including a summer semester in the first year) and a 6-month internship. Graduates find employment in community, private, and institutional pharmacies, hospitals, the pharmaceutical, biological, and chemical industries, biotechnology companies, the Pharmaceutical Administration, and scientific and research institutions in Israel and abroad.
The program's opening is contingent on the number of accepted applicants.
Admission Requirements
A Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) from a verified academic institution with an average grade of at least 80 and an exemption in English.
